“Cathy and Carl have painstakingly restored this Victorian home to museum-like splendor, but with welcoming warmth. My room, Topaz, was quiet, spacious, spotlessly clean, and had an extremely comfortable bed. The three course homemade breakfast was an unexpected delight.

All in all considerable attention was shown toward each guest for a delightful stay.

The home is in a quiet location yet just a few short blocks to a stroll along the water and into town. It is also ideally situated to a multitude of wonderful day trips.”

“My wife and I have been coming here every other year or so since the mid-1990’s. We have stayed in almost every room – we really like the Ruby Room, cozy and comfortable. Breakfasts are delicious and well presented, and the coffee-holic can get a cup well before breakfast.

We also like the central location on the coast, an hour or less from the Owls Head/Camden/Rockland/Rockport area, 40 minutes from Unity and the Common Ground Fair, an hour and a half from Bar Harbor.”

“It has been a few years but the pleasant memories remain. The owners are two of the friendliest people you will ever meet and very accommodating to late check-ins. The Inn itself is an amazing restoration of a classic Victorian era house. Be prepared for a great breakfast that’s not to be missed.”

“Made our trip to Belfast extra special! We only get away once in a while and Carl and Cathy made our weekend just delightful! Great bed….I had to ask where they got such a wonderful mattress. Cathy accommodated my special diet needs without a problem. Easy walking distance to town so we just left our car in the lot.”

“By far one of the best places I have ever laid my head for a night. I wish we could have stayed a few more nights. If you are traveling to Maine this place is a “jewel”! Thank you for this hospitality.”

“We checked in late and they were very accommodating. The room was beautiful and all the small details of the woodwork and antiques really added to the atmosphere. The bed was comfortable! We stayed in the Tourmaline room, which has a separate bathroom, and fireplace.

Breakfast was delicious with coffee, tea, OJ, scones. Frittata was delicious but on the small side. Two seatings for breakfast, 8 and 9 AM.”

“The Jeweled Turret Inn is truly a jewel. We arrived with little forewarning but were received warmly. Our room was individual and cozy (the house is nothing short of a tchotchke box, lots of interesting things to see), and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast is served in a group in the morning with conversation encouraged amongst guests, which we really enjoyed. Kathy is a fantastic cook. She and Carl are very gracious, warm, and welcoming hosts.”
